Research: Fairness-aware AI for dermatology and skin cancer detection, AI for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD), medical imaging, and health informatics
Yehuda Perry, Ph.D., MS
Dr. Yehuda Perry is a Postdoctoral Associate at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and a Consultant to Rutgers Cancer Institute. His work applies artificial intelligence, computer vision, and deep learning to dermatology, oncology, and neurodegenerative disease.

Dr. Perry's research includes skin cancer detection models built on clinical imaging, designed to perform equitably across diverse skin tones. He also develops AI models for cognitive aging and Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) in diverse populations.

As a consultant to Rutgers Cancer Institute, Dr. Perry's contributes AI and data science expertise to cancer and oncology research. Before his research career, Dr. Perry's worked as a software engineer and data scientist. His technical expertise includes machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, vision-language models (VLMs), large language models (LLMs), and agentic AI for skin cancer detection. Dr. Perry's has applied AI to a broad range of medical imaging, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET, and histopathology.

Dr. Perry's also builds large-scale, data-centric pipelines.Yehuda collaborates closely with dermatologists, oncologists, neurologists, and biomedical informatics experts. Dr. Perry's is committed to advancing equitable healthcare technology and teaches in Information Science and Computer Science.
